Mission trip Team

Tonight we had a wonderful meeting with our team and a precious couple who is leading the missions over the area we are going. God is doing so much and it was an absolute encouragement to hear all of the puzzle pieces coming together for the trip ; and also hear story after story of God's confirmation of this trip and HIs almighty provision. Here is a picture of our team. I am excited to see what God has in store!

Letter

Here is a copy of my support letters so that you readers will have more of an insight as to pray for the task we have been given. Thank you everyone for your encouragement, prayers and support. God is working in a great way and I am in awe that I get to watch His plan unfold.

Dear Precious friends,
I hope you are doing well. If you are receiving this letter it means that you have had a special part in my life and I want to share something with you that the Lord is doing. About a week ago I was babysitting for a sweet friend who was in town for a couple of weeks, I was blessed to spend the day with her and hear about what the Lord is doing. As I was listening to her talk I was praying and asking the Lord for an opportunity to help, but was feeling inadequate for the task. About 5 hours later she asked if I would be interested in going in September. She continued to tell me that there is a strategic planning meeting taking place with servants and that there was a need for childcare. God took my fear of inadequacy and showed me how he can use my simple love for children to encourage my fellow believers! My task while I am there is to simple serving these servants of Christ by loving on their children, so that they can attend this conference.

The mission trip is September 19-28 and will be in because that is a neutral country for these servants. I implore you to partner with me in prayer for this trip. Please pray for our safety and that we would be an encouragement and a refreshment to these precious servants of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am so grateful that God has graciously provided most of the airplane ticket I was able to take care of the rest of the cost for the ticket. What a true blessing from the Lord and an answer to pray! Please pray for me as I walk this path of obedience, and as I go to there to serve these incredible people. If you are interested in partnering with me through pray or financial support please let me know. Also, hopefully I will be able to update my blog (http://brittany-whileimwaiting.blogspot.com/) while I am there and keep you posted with pictures and prayer requests. Know that I am so grateful for you and I deeply love your family. Thank you for prayerfully considering partnering with me in this mission. Have a blessed day!

Serving HIM,

Grandma

Today was a wonderful day, I got to spend it in the hospital hanging out with my precious and godly Grandma along with my Aunt and Mom. She was having some heart issues along with some other difficulties and was in ICU. Today however she was doing great and was talking with me, and enjoying looking at the pictures I brought her. I enjoyed getting to love on her and just be in the room with her, even while she was going in and out of sleep.

I am so grateful for such a godly woman of influence in my life. I go over to her house all of the time and sit down and have tea and just talk about the Lord with her. She loves it when we cook together and just fellowship. I am so blessed by her.

Here are some pictures of my Grandma and today

Discouragement and Assurance

On Monday morning I woke up very discouraged about the financially burden of this trip, even though I know the Lord will provide it still is a lot to raise in 3 weeks. Therefore I was praying hard about it and discussing things with my Mom and walking away very down, knowing that this is what has called me to do but having a storm during the walk of obedience. About an hour later I was praying and reading my bible during my devotions when I read this verse

"Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance." Psalm 43:5 This verse was such a refreshment to my heart and I am so thankful for the bread God gave me.

The next verse spoke directly to my heart and COMPLETELY gave me further confirmation that I am to go on this trip

"My God, my soul is cast down within me; therefore I will remember You from the land of Jordan........" Psalm 41:6

Can you believe that???? It was incredible that God gave me a verse. What a great God we serve! Needless to say God encouraged my heart and confirmed once again that this is right where I need to be. I am just trusting in His mighty hand!

Mission trip

Last week I wrote the post about how the Lord was doing a work in my heart regarding missions and HE sure did follow it through. I have been given an incredible opportunity to go to a unnamed country in September. There is a meeting taking place there with many missionaries from unnamed countries, they couldn't leave their wives and children because of safety so they are bringing them there for the meeting. The couples will be in meetings, therefore they needed child care for their children during this time. So they were in need of 4 ladies from woodstock to travel and provide childcare so the missionaries can be in their strategic meetings. I have been given the opportunity to love on and serve these missionaries who give their life for the gospel, and suffer every day for HIS name. I am so excited about this opportunity and after feeling like God could never use me because I am not talented in many different areas, God flat showed me that He can use my love for children to refresh the lives of these missionaries. What an incredible opportunity!!!! I have such a peace, excitement and joy about going. I am just praying for the Lord's provision, guidance and direction as I walk in obedience the path He has for me. Please pray for me and for the other 3 ladies going, that God would prepare us spiritually, physically and financially and that He would refresh and encourage these missionaries. I have lots of ideas on how to be a blessing to the missionaries while we are there. For example do a date night for the couples, where our team can give the ladies manicures, pedicures, I can do their makeup and hair and they can have a date night by themselves which they never get to do in the desert. I also can't wait to be with these kids, speak english with them, laugh, sing songs and just have a good time encouraging them. God is so good to allow me this opportunity and I am trusting in Him to provide the needs to go.

Unexpected blessings!

So today I was honored and privilege to go along with a sweet lady to a day of encouragement with some godly ladies. My job was to watch her precious little daughter while they met. The little girl was SO good and was an absolute delight to love on.
We drove to Helen, GA and I immensely enjoyed the conversation on the way there and back, and I felt so special when the sweet ladies included me in a scavenger hunt around Helen. This incredible lady challenged me just by her life and her hard work for the cause of Christ. I came home overflowed with joy and excitement about what God is doing and praying about my part in HIS plan.

Today I was all ears soaking up every story about the Lord moving, and listening to the hardships that they( the missionaries) face and the daily sacrifice and persecution they experience because of the gospel of Christ in their lives. WOW! It was amazing and really made me reflect on my life, and bring me back into perception of what really matters in life and how it is all about spreading the name of JESUS! What a reality check for me, about the privileges and riches we have in America, like clean water, bread without bugs, electricity and freedom to worship! Incredible day of encouragement, blessings and the Lord working in my heart in great ways. Lately He has been working in my heart regarding missions, giving and evangelism. I just pray that I will walk so closely to Him that when He calls I will hear His voice and walk in the way He has set before me. I yearn so much for more of HIM, and not to waste this season of life but make a difference for Him in the here and now. I think sometimes we get so caught up into the excitement and goals of tomorrow that we miss out on the plan that God has for us TODAY.

Although at times I feel discouraged feeling unqualified and completely unequipped for the task, I know He will give me the strength. As a precious friend reminded me today, He doesn't call the abled, but HE enables the called! What a comfort to my heart, when I feel so unworthy and so weak, knowing that whatever He has for me He will prepare me for.

Thank you sweet Jesus for the refreshment today! Open my eyes to see your will as I wait in YOU!

While I'm Waiting

I have been wanting to write a blog for a while now. This blogs purpose is to write down all the Lord is doing as I wait on Him in life, to encourage other believers, and to stay in touch with people. I named it while I'm waiting, because that is the season of life that I am in and I LOVE it. The song "while I'm waiting" says it all for me "While I"m waiting I will worship you, while I'm waiting I will serve you, I will run the race even while I wait." I am a single young lady who is incredibly blessed with an AMAZING job, and a wonderful family, and praying for the Lord's direction and will to be done in my life. Thanks for joining me in this journey!
